This looks like a very promising film, based off of Kurt Vonnegut’s Harrison Bergeron. Depicting a dystopian future in which everyone is equal in EVERY way. Check out www.finallyequal.com for more info!

Lie To Me* New liberty leaning show

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 20, 2009 by The New Activist

The video below is the season finale to an excellent show entitled “Lie to me*.” The show has shown itself to be fairly liberty oriented, suggesting that one should distrust one’s government, and rely upon themselves for their needs. They broke ground however, with the above episode, in which the lead character tells an FBI deputy director that any government who breaks the law in time of emergency is a dictatorship.Near the close of the show two of the main characters are discussing the illegal bugging of a mosque as a possible recruiting tool for islamic extremists, to which one states “That’s tomorrows problem”……The reply? “How do you think we got to today?”

Ideas do indeed have consequences….

Ron Paul, in a 1999 letter to the speaker of the house, stated “Ideas do indeed have consequences, Mr. Speaker, and they pick up a momentum all their own.”

This is so very true, and it is against ideas that we fight, not only institutions, but the thoughts that helped create them.

If you have an iphone (or generally any smartphone) you can get a similar app. Only reason I’m listing this one is because its the one I happened to find. Long story short, it’s like a wiki-cop-detector, it also seems to have a constantly updated list of photo-enforcement areas.  This is one useful item for those of us who’s activities aren’t strictly illegal, but might be best out of sight of our local boys in blue.
you can check it out at www.trapster.com

Also check out the online map of reported cops in your area here: http://www.trapster.com/rl/Trapster.php

Looking in my area I counted

34 police

33 areas where police were suspected/likely to be

5 confirmed redlight/speeding cameras

and 2 more possible camera’s

Property Taxes on cars

Posted in Action items with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on May 11, 2009 by The New Activist

First things first, What right would the government have to tax me on property I already own?!!?!??!?!?!? Hello! It’s mine? Anyhow, there’s a reassesment area for those of us who realize we’re screwed by the local government. Slapped a couple of extra pro-liberty stickers on my car (Enjoy! capitalism and Mickey Che from Bureaucrash) turned on the AC which gives a nice rattle to the sound of my engine, and headed down. My taxes on that vehicle are now $O.

Sweet.
